Alongside onsite services, we can also store, manage and maintain your system spares in a controlled, purpose-built environment to ensure they are ready to use as required.

To support projects, Complete Cable Care calls upon Global Marine Group’s fleet of cable ships and CTVs, as well as a suite of subsea equipment including two industry leading Q1400 trenching ROVs. As a Group, we have decades of technical knowledge, as well as commercial experience in managing cable maintenance agreements worldwide.

INTRODUCING OUR NEW REPAIR BARGE, THE ASV PIONEER

The ASV Pioneer becomes the newest addition to our fleet and is unique to the industry as a vessel dedicated to the power cable repair market. The vessel is on permanent standby at Global Marine Group’s offshore service hub in Blyth, ideally placed to respond to projects in the North Sea and further afield.

The ASV Pioneer is a uniquely versatile vessel that is fully mobilised with a flexible power cable repair spread, capable of undertaking power cable repairs, shore-end replacements, cable transportation and new cable installation operations from grounding out on the shore approach to a water depth of at least 50m.

The 8-point mooring system gives the vessel outstanding position keeping capabilities and the 2,000te carousel and associated equipment gives the vessel extended potential for the most complex cable operations. The high state of readiness of the ASV Pioneer ensures a quick and efficient response to any emergency cable repair operations.

REDUCED DOWNTIME WITH RAPID RESPONSE TO UNPLANNED MAINTENANCE

Against the market average of 100 days, our Complete Cable Care solution reduces downtime by approximately 60%. The significant cost of service interruption, particularly within the offshore wind industry, can rise into the tens of millions per month, so we are passionate about supporting wind farm operators and owners to provide a cost effective and responsive maintenance solution.

MINIMISING INTERRUPTIONS EVEN FURTHER WITH UNIVERSAL 150KV HV CABLE JOINTS

Typically an OEM HV cable manufacturers joint can take up to seven days or more to install at sea and have an order lead time of over 12 weeks. As part of our Complete Cable Care service, we stock universal HV power cable joints. These universal joints are readily available to rapidly mobilise should you not have stock of on OEM specific joint, or the jointers required to install it. The universal HV power joints are specifically designed to minimise at sea jointing time, typically reducing joint time by around 50% to around 3.5 days, thus reducing the power transmission downtime and further minimising the required weather window in the event of a fault.

The joints are designed to be compatible with the majority of HV AC export cables currently deployed regardless of the cable manufacturer, conductor material or cross section area and are also able to joint two dissimilar cables. As part of the Global Marine Group, Complete Cable Care has access to some of the best cable jointers in the marine sector, able to respond quickly and efficiently to cable repair needs.
